Our Qwiic Connect System is designed to help you quickly interface development boards and breakouts in your project or prototype. One way the Qwiic system achieves this is by standardizing on a single bus voltage of 3.3 Volts. This means that any Qwiic-compatible board that's based on a 1.8V part has an on-board voltage regulator and logic level translator, but what if you have a 1.8V part with no breakout board and you need to get integrated into your Qwiic project? No worries! This Qwiic 1.8V Adaptor supplies 1.8V at up to 300mA as well as bi-directional logic level translation so that you can connect your Qwiic system to any 1.8V I²C part you can find! Simply connect the adaptor to your bus using a Qwiic cable, connect your 1.8V part to the header pins marked "1.8V," and now your part is on the 3.3V Qwiic bus! As on other Qwiic boards, we've also broken out the 3.3V pins to a 0.1" header and added two Qwiic connectors, making it easy to connect in line with all of your other Qwiic boards.
The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields and cables that make prototyping faster and less prone to error. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector. This reduces the amount of required PCB space, and polarized connections mean you can’t hook it up wrong.
